Rally Brings Awareness, Support against Heroin

Mary Alice Reporting:

(August, 10th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – A two-day event is taking a stand and bringing the community together for awareness and support against heroin.

Coordinator Heather Rochester says the 2nd Annual Fight Against Heroin Rally will not only provide food and fun, but education and outreach regarding addiction.

“The biggest thing is that we want people to known that there is support and help. We want to be able to reach out even if it’s just for one individual. Let them known there are people that have been there.”

The two-day event begins on Saturday, August 19th from 11 am until 8 pm on the square in New Philadelphia.

“Really and truly, we just want to let people known that if they want to help in any way they are more than welcome. The more the merrier. Everybody is welcome it’s not just for one. It’s for everybody. “
