Raymond Gingerich 78 of Dundee died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.
He was born September 20, 1938 in Tuscarawas County to the late Pete and Alma (Miller) Gingerich. He had worked at Alsco in Sugarcreek, was the owner and operator of Raymond Gingerich Trucking for over 20 years and was a former owner of Farmerstown Meats for 23 years.
He was a member of Walnut Creek Mennonite Church and enjoyed the outdoors; especially fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, the former Lucille York whom he married in 1967 and recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary; his son Dennis Gingerich of Dundee; granddaughter Grace Gingerich and his sister Elizabeth (Bob) Stempfly of Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Edna Gingerich and Malinda Berg.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church with Pastor Don Hamsher officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery prior to Services at the Church. Friends may call on Monday 5-7 PM at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church in the Sanctuary.
