(Monday, July 9th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – Today is the final day to register to vote in a special election involving several school districts.

Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Deputy Director Sarah Kneuss explains the August 7th special election is an overlap from Stark County.

“That involves their education service center that is a part of Strasburg-Franklin schools, Fairless local schools, and Sandy Valley local school. They’re currently putting on a levy for expenses for security and mental health services.”

She points out that Monday, July 9th is the final day for voter registration for this election and the BOE will remain open until 9 pm.

When going to the polls, all voters must bring proof of identity.
