Michele Spring Reporting:
(Wednesday, December 12, 2018) Harrison County, Ohio – Motorists will see delays on U. S. 22 beginning Monday, December 17th. The Ohio Department of Transportation will have nearly two miles of U.S. 22 restricted to one lane between Cadiz and Piedmont.
Public Information Officer Lauren Borell advises motorists to plan ahead to avoid delays.
“We’ll have traffic maintained at all times with one lane of traffic and flaggers. They are going to be starting this work on intersection U. S. 22 and County Road 42 and heading west on U.S. 22 to State Road 519.”
Borell noted that work will be done between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
“We just remind everybody that with this time of year all work is weather permitting. So, if we do have a weather event there is a chance the road will remain open as it is if we’re not able to go out there for performing snow and ice operations.”
The preventative safety work is expected to be completed by Friday, December 21st.
