Rockin’ on the Ridge to Benefit Area Organizations

<p>(Sugarcreek, OH) – Music, food, and entertainment are on the schedule for a new music festival to benefit the community.

Rockin’ On The Ridge will take place Friday evening, and features music groups at the Roadhouse Amphitheater in Sugarcreek, formerly Alpine Hills.

Coordinator Anita Davis, of Breitenbach Winery, says the event will kick off as gates open at 5 pm and encourages families to attend.

“We’ll have things for kids like face painting, and hair painting, and fun items for the kids to enjoy, as well.”

Ten musical guests are slated to perform, along with 4 food trucks.

Although the festival is a fun event for the community, Davis adds the true purpose is to give back to the Friends of the Homeless and Pathway to Wellness.

“We’re always in need of operating funds so the proceeds from this will go directly to those in need at the shelter and at the sober living house.”

The cost is $5 for adults, and children 12 and under are free. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The event will be handicap accessible, with shuttle service available.
