Ronald Wayne Howell, Sr., 52, of Tuscarawas, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after a lengthy illness. Born August 9, 1965 in Martinsville, WV, he was a son of the late Jesse and Edith (Lancaster) Howell.
Ron was a contractor for the railroad who loved riding his motorcycle with his friends, Train, Willie, Yuki and Paul Harvey, in his spare time. He was a member of Emmaus Chapel in Tuscarawas.
Ron is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Annie Brock; children, Matthew Ray (Kelly Runyo n) Erlewine, Cristin (Jose John Varela, Jr.) Erlewine, Cheyenne (Jeremy) Anderson, Erica (Eddie Merryman) Griesen, and Ronald Wayne Howell, Jr.; many grandchildren; sister, Donna (Wayne) Hess; brothers, Larry (Paula) Howell and Gary (Cheryl) Howell; and niece and nephews, Crystal, Randall, D.J., Steve, Brian, Marshall and Joshua.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in Emmaus Chapel in Tuscarawas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Inc., 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269, to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
