Ruth M. Klein – October 27, 2017

Ruth M. Klein 87 of Sugarcreek died Friday, October 27, 2017 at New Dawn in Dover following a period of declining health.

She was born August 25, 1930 in Sugarcreek to the late Lester and Hallie (Ridgway) Snyder. She worked for many years at Union Hospital in Dover as a nurse’s aide. She was a woman of great faith and a mighty prayer warrior, a member of New Pointe Community Church in Dover and was a member of the former Free Methodist Church in Sugarcreek where she served as church delegate for many years, was a Sunday School Teacher and worked with the church youth.  In recent years she enjoyed corresponding with friends, doing crossword puzzles and listening to Old Gospel Songs which she would often sing along with in her alto voice. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Klein whom she married on December 11, 1954; her three daughters Marla (Chuck) Plumb and Karen Bishop and husband Billy both of Arizona and Lori (Scott) Wright of Dover; 5 grandchildren Chip Plumb, Rick Plumb, Charity Plumb, Nathan Plumb and Katie Wright and her fiancé Don Rufener III, her great grandson Micah and her sister Virginia Monroe of Texas.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers Edison Snyder, Tom Snyder and Lewis Wisecarver. 

Services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at New Pointe Community Church in Dover with Pastor Dwight Mason officiating.  Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday 6-8 PM at the Smith- Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek and from 10-11 AM at the Church prior to Services.
