Mary Alice Reporting: New Philadelphia, Ohio – A Newcomerstown man received a sentence for his part in an assault that took place earlier this year.

Michael Seese, 42, was initially charged with a 2nd-degree felony; however, he changed his plea to a 4th-degree aggravated assault.

Tuscarawas County Assistant Prosecutor Amanda Miller says that the aggravated charge did not carry a presumption of prison.

“Mr. Seese was sentenced to a reserved prison term for three years of [local] community control sanctions.”

The charge stemmed from an assault that occurred in Newcomerstown where the victim suffered a broken ankle.
