Sock Drop Time Frame Extended

(Tuesday, December 5th) Tuscarawas County, Ohio – The collection date for sock donations to help the homeless in Tuscarawas and Stark counties is extended through December 15th.

Sock Drop Founder Brenda Gee says so far, they have gathered over 2,100 pairs of socks.

“I feel overjoyed in my heart. I’m just out here trying to do what I feel is a good thing for the community and for those that are less fortunate. I think at this time of year it’s a great time to remind ourselves that someone who hit a hard road to remind them that are cared about.”

Co-Founder Elizabeth explains that she knew the community would come together and support the initiative and help someone in need.

“Overwhelmed gratitude for this community because I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for this community. I am full of just gratitude each and every day for everybody that gives back.”

Locations collecting socks are the Ezekiel Project, McInturf Realty, The Daily Grind, WJER, and at Belden Village, Sears and Mission BBQ.
