State Route 800 delays expected next week in Harrison County

Michaela Madison Reporting

(August 10th) Freeport, Ohio – Traffic delays are expected in Harrison County next week to allow ODOT crews to conduct pavement work.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is asking motorists to be prepared for delays along SR 800 in the village of Freeport throughout the project.

Starting Tuesday, August 15th, ODOT will be partnering with the village to perform temporary pavement widening. Work is expected to continue through Wednesday evening, August 16th.

ODOT crews will be placing a temporary asphalt shoulder to widen the roadway in preparation for a 2019 project to stabilize the shoulder.

Long traffic delays are possible given the narrow work location. Motorists are urged to plan ahead or use an alternate route to avoid delays.
