Steven C. Belt, 62, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, passed away on February 8, 2022, at his home. He was born January 16, 1960 at Coshocton Hospital to the late Lloyd and Evelyn (Miller) Belt.
Steven was a 1978 graduate of Newcomerstown High School and Buckeye Career Center. He was employed for many years at the Newcomerstown Truck Stop as an excellent mechanic. He was recently employed at Advance Auto in Uhrichsville. He was a member of the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post No. 431 of Newcomerstown.
Steven was married to Cindy (Triplett) Belt, who preceded him in death on December 7, 2007. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister Alice Belt in August of 2019.
Steve is survived by his sisters and brother, Debbie Fechuch of Isleta, Dave (Debbie) Belt, and Teresa (Scott) McCune, both of Newcomerstown; a step-daughter, and his granddaughters Amia Mae and Phoenix of Coshocton. He also leaves behind his two canine companions, Toby and Oscar.
Cremation will take place and interment will be held at Everal’s Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd. Ste 260 Independence, OH 44131.
