Mary Alice Reporting:

(Friday, October 6th) Dundee, Ohio – A cabin is reportedly totaled after an early morning blaze at 9977 Falls Spring Road.

Strasburg Fire Chief Dan Varner explains they were called Friday just before 1am to the confirmed structure fire.

“It was cabin [and] upon arrival we could see even before we got there that it was fully involved. Due to the narrow roads, we struck another alarm for tanks and a little bit of extra manpower.”

No one was inside the cabin and Varner notes the cabin is considered a total loss.

“The State Fire Marshall will come in this morning. We’re going to go through some things. There’s nothing suspicious about this, it’s just because of the damage and loss we’re going to investigate.”

Assisting fire departments included Wayne Township, Bolivar, Dover, and Smith Ambulance.
