Mary Alice Reporting:

(Monday, October 8th) Tuscarawas County, Ohio – An event celebrating art is looking to empower and inspire community members.

Local artists will have their work on display during a 3rd annual event hosted by The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership.

TAP Board President Diane Lautenschleger explains the Partnership is a non-profit organization that was formed after a feasibility study commissioned by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners.

TAP Arty Party Coordinator Wilma Levengood explains that all proceeds from the October 17th event from the silent auction and ticket sales go back to the non-profit.

“So we can continue to help support the arts throughout the community, whether it’s public art murals or special events that’s art focused.”

Levengood adds that the event happening from 6pm to 9pm will feature artworks from 30 local artisans.

“A lot of the artists are going to come, and they are going to talk about their art and you get a chance to know their processes, and understand the inspiration behind the pieces, and have that open conversation with the artists.”

Tickets are $50 for the October 17th art experience at Fine Art Skin and Laser in Dover and to RSVP, email TAP at tuscarawasartspartnership@gmail.com.
