Tim Tarulli Remembered by City Council, Administration

<p>Mary Alice Reporting:

(August, 7th) Dover, Ohio – Officials took time Monday night to say a few words about the recent passing of Dover’s Safety and Human Resources Director, Tim Tarulli.

Mayor Richard Homrighausen says Tarulli worked as the safety director for 3 years and that he was involved in government for a long time.

“Was on council for over 20 years starting out as councilman-at-large and then moving into council president. He lived and breathed Dover politics. Lost a good friend and he’s going to be sorely missed.”

Tarulli, 55, died Saturday, August 5th following a long battle related to a genetic condition known as X-Linked Agammaglobulinumia (XLA) that effects the immune system.

City Service Director Dave Douglas comments that he lost a great working partner and friend.

“We had a lot of fun together. Very light-hearted but he was very intelligent, did a great job for us. We’re all going to miss him but I know I will because I worked with him daily. There wasn’t any days we didn’t talk a good bit of the day off and on.”

Calling hours are set for Wednesday, August 9th from 4pm to 7pm at Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes on N. Wooster Avenue in Dover.

Mayor Homrighausen adds that there is no timeline for him to appoint someone to fill the Safety/HR Director position.
