Nick McWilliams reporting – The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County is holding their yearly Scholarship Game Day with a special guest.

Justin Zwick, who played with the Buckeyes from 2002-2006, will be in attendance on September 26th at the Factory Street Pub & Grill.

President Martha Campbell says that Zwick is coming back to a very familiar area for the event.

“We’re very excited that former Ohio State quarterback Justin Zwick will be joining us for this event. He’ll be signing autographs, chatting with everyone and getting photos. Of course, he’s not a stranger to the area, as he actually went to Massillon-Washington High School.”

Although Zwick, who was on the 2002 national championship team, headlines the night, the evenings other purpose is an important one as well.

All incoming funds from the night will go to the club’s scholarship fund for students from the county who are attending Ohio State, according to Campbell.

“We were very fortunate this past year for students coming into Ohio State this year. We were able to award $23,000 in scholarships. So we’re hoping to raise a lot of money to enable a lot of other students who will attend Ohio State next fall, to be able to provide them with scholarships as well.”

Finally, the get-together also serves to watch the Ohio State and Nebraska game, with a chance to celebrate the university’s 150th birthday with cupcakes and history information.

Food will be included in ticket costs, which are $15 for students and $25 for adults, and registration can be completed by emailing tuscarawascoclub@osu.edu.
