TuscBDD Announces Upcoming Holiday Event

Michaela Madison Reporting:

(Wednesday, December 6th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – The Charmed: Gifts with Meaning store in Downtown New Philadelphia is hosting the Kids and Kin Holiday Happiness event this Thursday.

Kerri Silverthorn with Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities says the event will feature instructor Deb Herbert, who will guide participants as they create snowmen themed pictures.

“We want to be an asset to the community,” explained Silverthorn. “We want to be a place where all people can come together and use us a resource and just have fun and experience community all together. We think that’s very important.”

The event will be on Thursday, December 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the store on West High Avenue.

Silverthorn added that Charmed is a Share Christmas drop off site where nonperishable items, hygiene and household products and other items can be donated now through December 11th.

Also, the store will host an open house event all day on December 14th. Silverthorn explained there will be live entertainment, food and more.
