Nick McWilliams reporting – The Twin City Chamber of Commerce is looking into the possibility of bringing food trucks to the Panhandle Passage Trail Head Park.
Currently, the chamber is gauging public and operator interest in the idea, hoping to attract out-of-town residents and local individuals.
Executive Director Teri Edwards says that the hope is to draw people to the area, which has undergone extensive work recently.
“One of our board members brought it up and thought it might be an idea that we should pursue. Bring something new into the Twin Cities and give people a reason to go over to our park. We put a lot of work into the park.”
Dennison has seen success in partnership with Schoenbrunn Village and the Uhrichsville Clay Museum at their annual Jammin’ Food Truck Festival.
Edwards adds that groups outside of food truck vendors can also inquire about reserving a spot.
“Any social groups or kids groups or church groups that maybe want to sell baked goods or lunch items, whichever, we invite anyone to get in touch with us and find out some more information. We’d love to have as many people involved as we can.”
Interested participants can contact the chamber at (740) 922-5623 or email email@example.com.
