Michele Spring Reporting:

(Wednesday, February 13, 2019) Tuscarawas County, Ohio – Wednesday morning’s snowfall is projected to melt into the evening hours and could potentially lead to further flooding.

Director of Tuscarawas County EMA Alex McCarthy said new precipitation has been projected to anywhere from a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

“Anytime you have accumulations of snow when that melts it could lead to flooding. Usually, it’s like for every couple of inches of snow equates to one inch of rain. So if we have three of four inches of snow that might only be the equivalent of quarter inch of rainfall.”

Rainfall will end Friday morning at 10am with winds reaching 10 mph.
