Mary Alice Reporting – For over 40 years, the City of Dover has hosted markets where participants can get local produce, flowers, and more.
The Farmers Market started in 1979 and will officially reopen on Thursday, July 14th.
Vendors are encouraged to bring home-grown produce, flowers or plants, fruits and berries, honey, as well as homemade jams or jellies. Vendors are reminded that electricity is not provided and that there is no charge or registration to set up.
Some items not permitted for sale will include an assortment of pies, processed fresh or frozen meats, home-canned items, live animals, and craft items. Anyone, participant or potential vendor, can direct questions by calling 330-343-6727.
The Dover Farmers Market is at the City Park, beside field #1, and takes place Thursdays, from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, through Thursday, September 29th.
