Fern Lavonne Kopp, 85, of Newcomerstown passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Akron City Hospital. She was born December 9, 1935 in Newcomerstown to the late Howard and Alice (Craigo) Egler.
Fern was a 1953 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She was a Cosmetologist and owner/ operator of New Horizon Beauty Salon since 1980. She worked at Kroger’s for 35 years in Newcomerstown and Cambridge. She was very involved with her community and was a member of Christ UMC in Newcomerstown.
She married Robert Kopp in 1956 and he passed away in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne (Wayne) Dyer of Newcomerstown; her life partner of 27 years, Gene Tobin; and his children, Tena Grant and family, and Jeff Tobin.
A private graveside service will be held at Coshocton Memory Gardens.
