Brian Eugene Heston, 42, current resident of New Concord, OH, passed away November 3, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family after a hard-fought battle against COVID-19.

Brian was born in Cambridge, Ohio on October 23, 1979, to Clifford and Mary Ellen (Haver) Heston of Kimbolton. He was a 1999 graduate of Cambridge High School and Mid-East Career and Technology Center. He was a member of the band and 4-H. He also received a welding certification from Zane State College in Zanesville, OH.

Brian married his beautiful bride, Darlene on October 11, 2008. They enjoyed 13 wonderful years together. They went on many adventures, enjoyed golfing at local courses, attending tractor pulls and taking road trips.

Brian was a proud member of the Operators Union Local 18 and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator on various projects throughout Eastern Ohio. He loved all things John Deere, Ford and his special pup, Millie. He was a master craftsman and could make anything he put his mind to.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa, grandparents Ellsworth and Leurina Heston and Paul and Georgia Haver, and special aunt and uncle, Virginia and Willis Shearer.

Brian is survived by his wonderful wife, Darlene (Thornton). His parents, Clifford and Mary Heston of Kimbolton sisters Kris (Matt) Puskarich of Cadiz, OH, Cindy (Scott) Sievers of London, OH and nephews Lucas and Ben Puskarich of Cadiz, OH. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Jean Thornton and brother-in-law Jim (Heather) Thornton Jr. of McConnelsville, OH. He will be missed by special friends Jessica Cunningham and “nieces” Belle and Allie Norman, Melissa Kilbarger, Nate Hoberg, his aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Addy Funeral Home, 406 West State Street, Newcomerstown, OH with Pastor Frank McAfee.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Flat Ridge Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided at the Kimbolton Volunteer Firehouse after the burial.

Following CDC guidance, and out of respect for Brian’s family, face masks will be required for all functions.

In lieu of flowers, visitors may donate to a charity of their choice in Brian’s memory.
