Carl A. Boswell – May 29, 2021

Carl A. Boswell, 79, of Dover, died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. He was born May 20, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to Ruth (Plastow) Stansbery. Carl was a graduate of Dover High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. He was also a member of the 1485 Reserves in Dover, and a member of the Honor Guard at the Dover V.F.W.

Carl retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation out of New Philadelphia, and retired as a bus driver from Dover Schools. He enjoyed dressing as Santa Claus during the holidays for the children.

Carl is survived by his children, Candy Deibel (Ron Sharkey), Tammy Boswell (Mike Harris), Allen (Barb) Boswell, Todd (Kelly) Boswell; his siblings, Carol (Dennis) Huffman, Mike (Kathy) Stansbery; step-sisters, Sandy and Susan Stansbery. Along with his mother, Ruth, and step-father, Max Stansbery, Carl was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Randy Ford.

A graveside service will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Addy Funeral Home, 406 W. State St., Newcomerstown, OH 43832.
