Carol Irene “Sis” Heaston, age 60, of Dover, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, in her home.
Born June 14, 1961, in Bellaire, she was the daughter of Carolyn Ruble Hornbeck of Clarington and the late Harry Hornbeck. In addition to her father, Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents, Creed and Irene Ruble and Emmitt and Eve Hornbeck, as well as aunts and uncles.
Her life revolved around her family, and she will be dearly missed by her daughters, Jamie Aubrey of Paden City, West Virginia, and Jessica (Kody) Reed of Dover; her six grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Devan, Harley, Ethan and Christopher; her seven great-grandchildren, Faith, Hope, Kaydence, Sera, Eli, Aubriella and Elsie; her sister, Janet Haney of Clarington; her very special cousin, Denise Halko; and her cat, Other Cat.
Honoring Carol’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral ceremony. The family will observe a private time of remembrance and her cremated remains will be scattered later in Colorado.
