Charles Robert “Bob” Stull, 79, of Dover, formerly of Dennison, entered into his Father’s eternal kingdom at 11:30 PM on November 6, 2021, at Park Village in Dover.  Bob fought a valiant battle against frontotemporal dementia and remained independent until a stroke in March 2021.  Born July 22, 1942, at his family home in Uhrichsville, he was the last surviving child of the late Paul Oakland Stull and Margaret May (Alwood) Stull.  Bob was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Paull (Betty) Stull II, Richard (Elaine) Stull, Ruth Klaserner, Shirley (Red/Donald) Garrett, Diane Morrison and Peg (Delmar) Clark.  Bob and his siblings were blessed with healthy senses of humor, and we can only imagine the reunion and laughter in heaven.

On March 24, 1961, Bob married the love of his life and his soulmate, Joy Kaye (Bigler) Stull who survives him along with their daughters, Tina Marie (Keith) Cope and Kimberly Kaye (Jamie) Urban.    Bob was a beloved grandfather, and his wise counsel was often sought by his grandchildren.  A call to “Pap” could not only brighten the day, but add clarity and guidance during life choices.  Bob is survived by his grandchildren, Todd (Mary Lee) James (Kansas), Troy James (Ohio), Jessica (Cory) Rawson (Colorado), James (Lorie) Urban II (Colorado),  Marissa (Josh) Davis (Colorado), Brett (Kirstyn) Stull (Ohio), Alec (Tori) Stull (Illinois) and Madison (Joe) Barker (Colorado).  Bob is survived by 14 great-grandchildren who enjoyed playing wiffle ball and catch with him.  Bob is also survived by a special brother-in-law, Kenny Morrison of Gnadenhutten.  In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his son Thomas Robert Stull and infant son, Charles Robert Stull Jr.

Bob was a lifelong area resident with the exception of the years he spent serving his country in the U.S. Navy in the early 60s.  Bob and Joy also enjoyed living in Sugar Hill, Georgia, from 2011-2013, but missed the Tuscarawas Valley more and returned home.

A memorial service, led by Rev. Tom Klaserner, will be held 1:00 p.m. on March 20, 2022 at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, with a luncheon to follow.  He will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery at a future date.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice.
