Nick McWilliams reporting – A free healthcare clinic in Tuscarawas County has received top marks for their work.

The Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured received a Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics Quality Standards Program recently.

Director Pat Warther says that the recognition is a welcome sign that they can provide quality care for their clients.

“The mission of the National Association of Free Clinics is to ensure that medically underserved areas have access to affordable healthcare. And ensure that the patients receive quality healthcare. Even though we are a free clinic, we want to make sure that we’re doing things similar to the quality standards set for your own physician’s office.”

It marks the second year the clinic has received recognition from the NAFC, which grades on quality of care received, patient information care, resources provided, and plenty more.

The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 420 South Reeves Avenue, Suite D, Dover, Ohio.
