No k McWilliams reporting – Residents can rid themselves of unwanted papers thanks to an upcoming community opportunity.

Sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition, a free document shredding, and destruction event is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Held in the First Federal Community Bank parking lot on the Boulevard, residents can bring old tax forms, medical records, and other unwanted sensitive materials.

A limit of four boxes per vehicle will be observed on Saturday.

E-waste such as laptops, printers, routers, hard drives, and accessories will be accepted as well. The staff working the event can not accept televisions or computer monitors this time.

There will be no charge, but free-will donations will be accepted to support the coalition.

Trained professionals will handle all shredding of documents on-site.
