Curtis James Judy, 40, of Northfield, died Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home. He was born Tuesday, January 20,1981, in Coshocton, Ohio to Janet Lee McDonnell, who survives, and the late William Richard Judy.

Curtis earned a bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran from 2004-2013, earning the rank of Captain and two Bronze Stars. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a military police officer, and upon returning home, trained others to deploy overseas. He worked as a senior recruiter at AllSearch Recruiting. Curtis was an avid reader. He loved sports and was a fan of Ohio State and Cleveland teams.

Curtis is survived by his grandparents, Jim (Ellen) McDonnell; siblings, Jamie Lee Judy (Thomas) Leidner of New Philadelphia, James Austin Trzop of Newcomerstown; step-siblings, Leesha Sexton of Cleveland, James Kenneth (Nichelle) Trzop of Temecula, CA; nephew, Cameron Poland; niece, Sophie Leidner; lots of cousins, aunts and uncles; his beloved best friend and dog, Max.
Along with his father, Curtis was preceded in death by his step-father, James Milton Trzop; grandparents Curtis (Norma) Judy.

Services will be Friday, June 11, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown, with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Visitation will take place from 5-6 PM at Addy Funeral Home prior to the service.
