Dennis L. Anderson – June 9, 2021

Dennis L. Anderson, age 59, of New Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in New Philadelphia’s Community Hospice Truman House, following a brief illness.

Born September 20, 1961, in Dover, he was a son of Patricia Fetters Anderson of New Philadelphia, and the late Ralph Anderson. Dennis attended New Philadelphia High School and Buckeye Joint Vocational School, and, in 1985, met Dawn McAfee; the two were married on April 27, 1992. He was a long-time truck driver, dispatcher, and mechanic, and was currently employed by Beech Engineering in New Philadelphia.

Dennis was a devoted family man – a loving husband, father and grandfather. Some of his favorite pastimes were going fishing and learning about the Second World War. He was also a great fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dennis will be dearly missed by his wife, Dawn; his children, Damien Anderson and Danelle (Alick) Green, both of Dover; his grandchildren, Gracie, Zoeii, Carter, Aliyah, Josie, Brystol, Hoyt, Sadie, Raelynn and Memphis; his daughters from his first marriage, Amanda Millard and Melissa Smith; his siblings, Ralph (Vicki) and Rick (Joe Jardine) Anderson and Tammy (Gary) McLaughlin; and his many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Monday, June 14, 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 15, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor Lee Randolph of the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene officiating.
