Donald E. “Weeble” Smith, age 44, of Brightwood, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in his home following a period of declining health.

Born October 25, 1976, in Dover, he was a son of the late John L. Smith and Susan Mae Vance Smith Troyer. Weeble attended Dover and Garaway Schools, and he was employed as a welder.

He very much enjoyed family gatherings (and everyone was family to him), cooking, camping and fishing, and watching The Simpsons and The Fast and the Furious movie series.

Weeble is survived by his children, Taylor Smith of Dover, Kyler Smith of New Philadelphia, and Ashlyn Smith of Cape Coral, Florida; his grandchildren, Cali and Jeremiah Vaca; his siblings, Vickie (Ron) Eberly, Johnny, William, Kevin (Loretta), Ron, Larry (Beth) Smith and Holly Sommers; his many nieces and nephews; his former wife, Melissa Smith; and his former mother-in-law, Carla (Tim Robinson) Anderson.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, George Troyer; his nieces, Kristin Brown and Megan Smith; his nephews, Dylan Sommers and Jamie Meehan; and his great-nephew, Keian Smith.

Honoring Weeble’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral ceremony. Donations are suggested to his family.
