Dorothy E. Brogan, 82, of Dover passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Born February 17, 1939 in East Liverpool she was a daughter of the late Harry and Anna Marino Monahan.

She, along with her husband, were the co-owners of Williams Furniture in Dover for many years. She served as the secretary of the store, but she wore many hats in her daily duties. Dorothy was mostly known as a loving and wonderful homemaker, and caretaker of her family, she was always doing for others and enjoyed every moment….her family was the center of her world. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Christian Mothers.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Francis Brogan whom she married on January 23, 1956; children, Pat (Shannon) Brogan of New Philadelphia, Marty (Jody) Brogan, Polly Brogan, Jennifer (Mike) Henninge, Fran Brogan all of Dover; siblings, Patricia Elm, Harriet May (Vic Corpman), James (Margaret) Monahan, Harry Monahan Jr. all of Dover, William Monahan of Florida; grandchildren, John, Hillary, Cullen, Ian, Dillon, Hailey, Emily, Marissa, Katlynn, Makayla, Frannie, Connor, Erin, Taylor; great grandchildren, Evalynn and Daniel; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 5th starting at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery. The family will be greeting friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Christian Wake services at 6:45 pm.
