Nick McWilliams reporting – Dover has tapped their next middle school principal to replace the retiring Jack Edwards.

Former Claymont City Schools Principal and Athletic Director Eric Seibert will take over in August, after Edwards retires, following more than three decades in education.

Seibert, who joined Dover in 2021, has a background of over 23 years in education, and played a major part in the district’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program and served on the Community Safety Task Force Committee.

He is a Heidelberg graduate, with a master’s from Marygrove College and Wheeling Jesuit University in educational leadership.

Superintendent Karie McCrate said in a release that Seibert has shown impressive leadership schools in his two years within the district.
