Edward Andrew “Butch” Brown, 76, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Wooster Community Hospital. Born August 29, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, he was a son of the late Stanley Garfield and Margaret Pauline (Masters) Brown.

Butch proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1966, before returning to a long career as a welder in the local fabricating industry. In retirement, he loved wintering in Florida each year where he could continue his favorite pastime – golfing – year round. He faithfully attended New Life Center in Barnhill while living in Uhrichsville and Full Gospel Outreach when in Florida.

Butch is survived by his brothers, Stanley (Claire) Brown and Donnie Brown; sister, Ellen Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Tammy Trachsel whom he considered a daughter; Kylie Hernandez and Hunter Misko who were like grandchildren to him; Mason, Rafael, Rysten, Paisley, and Westlyn, who were like his great-grandchildren; and Lori Meek, whom he always called his special niece, and her children, Nancy, Emily, Natalie, and Gracelyn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Brown, and his life companion, Linda Burton.

According to Butch’s wishes, cremation is planned. A celebration of his life is planned for a future date, as well as his internment at Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Claymont Schools Golf Program.
