Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Stanley, 85, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away at her home due to heart failure on Monday, May 24, 2021. Born May 2, 1936 in Uhrichsville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles Dwain and Gladys Elma (Morgan) Baker.

A lifelong Tuscarawas County resident, Betty was a 1954 graduate of Freeport High School. She was a member of the Tippecanoe Church. She retired from the radiology department at Twin City Hospital in Dennison. Betty was an extraordinary organist and could play any song after listening to it one time. She loved life and her family.

On August 27, 1954, she married Harold Lee Stanley who preceded her in death on September 14, 2007. They are survived by their daughter, Karen S. Gray; grandchildren, Michelle and husband Frederick, Mark, Barbara, Jamie, Lee and wife Grace; and great-grandchildren, Alexia, Synthia, Christeena, Vanessa, Kyra, Brandon, and Colton. Betty is also survived by her brother, Rick (Maryanne) Baker and her sister, Jayne Baker; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cindy Stanley; brothers and sister-in-law, Harry and Alice Baker and Charles “Bill” and Marjorie Baker; and sister, Virginia Baker.

Rev. Jim McConnell officiated a private, family graveside service in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia where she was interred beside her late husband.
