6th Annual 5K Run/Walk/Junior Joggers – “Run for Bob” Race for Bob Smith

The 5K  Run/Walk is on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025. Registration and packet pickup begins at 11 am in the Tuscora Park Pavilion (161 Tuscora Avenue NW, New Philadelphia). “Junior Joggers” will begin at 12:15 pm with the 5K starting at 1 pm. The flat course will start and end near the Tuscora Park Pavilion. $20 pre-registration with a T-shirt by February 12th. $10 pre-registration with no shirt. $25 after the deadline and the day of the race with T-shirts; (limited supply). $15 day of the race and no T-shirt. Awards will be given by the top 3  male and female finishers in various age groups and be handed out in the park pavilion after the race.  This is a chip-timed race. The race is a non-profit 501(c). Proceeds go to the benefit research for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and the Memorial Scholarships for local high school seniors. Check out the “Run for Bob” Facebook page.  Bob Smith, died from Alpha-1 in May of 2019. It is a rare hereditary blood disorder that causes lung and liver disease. There is no cure, but treatment can slow the disease.
