Rural Action to Offer Watershed Summer Camp for Kids
June 14 - June 18
Rural Action will be hosting a virtual and in-person hybrid Camp Watershed for kids ages 8-12 this coming June. Children can learn about waste management biodiversity and ecosystems, wetlands, and birds all from their homes while occasionally gathering in person in Mineral City. Participants will get to make crafts, play games, and enjoy nature while learning about science. The blended camp will occur on June 14-18. The four-day camp will provide children with information and activities daily and feature materials, kits, snacks, and a scheduled virtual check-in time to make it a complete “camping” experience. And, because of philanthropic support, all camp programs are free this year – there is NO COST to participate. Supply pickup will be on June 14th. Tuesday and Thursday, June 15th and June 17th will be entirely virtual, with optional, parent-guided activities set up in local public areas. Wednesday and Friday, June 16th and June 18th will be virtual in the morning and in-person in the afternoon. The supply pickup and in-person afternoons will be at Mineral City Park, 8728 High Street NE, Mineral City. Interested attendees should register at: https://tinyurl.com/yedamah2.
