DESCRIPTION:Home\nNews\n\n	News Archive\n	Obituaries\n\n\nSports\nAuction\nContests\n\n	Contest Rules\n	Birthdays\n	Anniversaries\n\n\nPodcasts\nWhat’s Happening\n\n	Cancellations\n	Garage Sales\n	Lost & Found\n\n\nStation Info\n\n	WTUZ Radio Internship\n	On-Air Schedule\n	Staff\n	Privacy Policy\n\n\nHelp Wanted\nContact\n\n	Advertising Contact\n\n\n\n							\n							\n							\n							\n				\n					\n				\n			\n						\n						\n					\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Historic Zoar Village\, one of America’s most successful communal settlements\, hosts its award-winning Zoar and the Presidents Day on Friday\, September 18\, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, as well as an event that’s open to the public Saturday\, September 19\, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. During both events\, visitors explore the village as they meet reenactors portraying U.S. presidents and historical figures who were active during Zoar’s era as a communal settlement from 1817 to 1898\, including: \n\nBenjamin Harrison\nHarry Truman\nLucretia Garfield\nAbraham and Mary Todd Lincoln\nGeorge and Martha Washington\nTheodore Roosevelt\nEleanor Roosevelt\nPresident McKinley’s bodyguard\nBetty Ford\nNew York Herald reporter\nOhio Presidential Train\n\nPresidential games\, front porch campaigns\, trivia and activities\, along with museum tours and hands-on demonstrations\, will be held throughout the village. \nDuring both days\, students and visitors will be able to exercise their democracy in an interactive voting booth where they can vote on their favorite presidential appearance that day. The results will be shared in the Zoar Garden at the end of each day. \nThe Zoar and the Presidents School Day received the Best in Education and Outreach award from the Ohio Museums Association in 2022. \nTickets for the Zoar and the Presidents School Day are $10 per student\, $10 per adult and free for children 5 and under. Admission is free for one adult per group. Tickets for the public day are $12 for adults and free for children and students 16 and under.

Grab your hat\, gather your coven and join them along the canal for a magical day of witchy fun! Witch\, please\, a one-of-a-kind fall event featuring kayaking\, broomstick bouquet-making\, tarot readings and more! They’ll meet by the canal boat in Lake Park to get ready at 8:30 am on Saturday\, September 19th. They’ll kick off the morning at 9 am with a kayak ride down the canal\, where participants are encouraged to dress in their best witchy attire. Kayaks are provided\, or guests can take their own for a discounted rate. At 10 am you’ll craft your own broomstick bouquets. Lunch follows at 11 am. Prices are $75\, or $60 if you are providing your own kayak. Registration is open now at jhmuseum.org/witch-please and space is limited.
