Now in its 55th season\, the Coshocton Community Choir was organized in 1971 by Snyder\, an accomplished Ohio teacher\, choral conductor\, and church musician. Since its founding\, more than 900 singers have sung with the Choir\, which has become known for its renditions of sacred a cappella literature. The Choir’s singers\, who come from all backgrounds\, vocations and walks of life\, rehearse together weekly through the fall and winter and traditionally perform a narrated Christmas concert and spring concerts.  For more information about the Choir\, visit coshoctoncommunitychoir.org.  \n  \n

On April 28\, local history librarian Kim Jurkovic will close out the series by sharing tales about unusual stones in the county’s cemeteries\, unique burial sites in the area and some local folklore regarding the deceased in Tuscarawas County. The talk spans the years from the eve of the French and Indian War till the American Revolution and reveals major overwhelming factors threatening tribal presence and cultural cohesion.
