Students can also participate in a variety of interactive stations and demonstrations showcasing what life was like in the 18th century\, such as weaponry\, medicine\, kids’ games\, yarn spinning and more. All activities meet Ohio educational standards for fourth through eighth grade. Following School Day\, Fort Laurens is holding their annual Revolutionary War reenactment featuring reenactors from the Brigade of the American Revolution on Saturday\, May 23\, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday\, May 24\, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The School Day is open to students of all ages. Pre-registration is required. Admission is $7 per student and free for one adult per group\, with additional adult tickets at $7 each. Visitors can further learn about 18th-century American life from a variety of different demonstrations\, including cooking\, medicine and discussions with Colonial and British soldiers. Food\, vendors\, musical entertainment\, kids’ games and many other family-friendly activities will also be available. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under\, with all the proceeds going towards the preservation and educational efforts of Fort Laurens. All event activities and access to the Fort Laurens Museum are included in the ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
