Visitors can further learn about 18th-century American life from a variety of different demonstrations\, including cooking\, medicine and discussions with Colonial and British soldiers. Food\, vendors\, musical entertainment\, kids’ games and many other family-friendly activities will also be available. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under\, with all the proceeds going towards the preservation and educational efforts of Fort Laurens. All event activities and access to the Fort Laurens Museum are included in the ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. Each library location will feature a kickoff party for all ages with a Bookmobile visit\, activities\, food\, and the opportunity to register the whole family for the summer reading challenge.\n \nThe Summer Reading Kickoff Parties are as follows:\n\nBolivar Branch (455 West Water Street\, Bolivar): Saturday\, May 30th at 11:00AM. Celebrate summer reading with us and enjoy snacks\, games\, and a fun photo op with Dale Duerr’s antique carriages.
