Fire Captain Matt Tharp says they were dispatched to Baltzley Valley Road around 9am for smoke coming from a camper.
“On our way out there we saw a large amount of black smoke. Upon arrival, we found probably a 15 by 25-foot camper fully involved with flames.”
He notes it was a residential camper but no one was home at the time of the blaze, and that two of the three dogs inside were able to escape.
At this time the fire is being ruled accidental/undetermined.
