Nick McWilliams reporting – A three-year planning process and 14-month build wrapped up with a Wednesday ribbon-cutting for First Federal Community Bank.

The newest location, on the corner of North Wooster and West Ohio Avenues, features office space, drive-thru lanes, and a new twist.

President and CEO Trent Troyer stated that in addition to the state-of-the-art facility, the bank is greatly looking forward to utilizing the dedicated spaces for financial literacy, a tool he called invaluable

It is extremely important. If you can handle and master your finances, you have a lot of power in your hands. That’s why we call it empowering the financial well-being of our community. Because I think that’s one of the biggest challenges people have.”

A schedule of community financial education events will be located on the bank’s website and Facebook page.

Benchmark Construction handled the contracting work, with designs handled by K-4 Architects.
