Mary Alice Reporting – Any child will be able to receive a free breakfast or lunch after a United States Department of Agriculture waiver approval.

The program is through the 2020-2021 school year in the New Philadelphia City school district.

While the main portion of the food is free, students must have money on their meal account for any ala carte food items, like milk.

Applications for the free and reduced-price meals are a requirement once the USDA waiver expires for qualified students to continue receiving the meals at no charge.

Additionally, the New Philadelphia School indicates that, for virtual academy students, meal bundles are still available but are not provided for non-session school days, which include holidays or calamity days.

To participate in the pick-up meal bundles, a one-time email is asked to be sent to jonesc@npschools.org with a request to participate and the name of all children.

As school is in session, through May 25th, the bundles can be requested and picked up every Tuesday, behind the Welty Middle School, from 4 pm to 5 pm.
