Mary Alice Reporting – A new food destination is set to open this April and will feature different vendors so that folks can “Come Visit the Market and Live the Fresh Life”.
The indoor market is currently undergoing some renovations as vendors are being sought.
Fresh the Market Owner Debbie Aubihl-Knisley says the farmer’s mart will run for nine months, April through December, featuring booths selling eggs, meats, and bakery items.
“Anything from bakers to farmers to growers [as a way] to offer all their wares to shoppers. So, we’re hoping to have vegetables, flowers, fruits, and cheeses. In the building, we’re going to open that back end up and it’s going to be a nice place [for visitors] to sit.”
She adds that the market’s inventory will change with the seasons as it will be open Wednesday through Saturday’s starting at 9 am.
“We started with our list already and we’ve got a few commitments. We’re just in the process of signing leases. We’re going to probably start out with 25 or more [vendors] but we could at least have 40. We are looking for more artisans.”
Fresh the Market will be located at 150 1st Drive. SW, in downtown New Philadelphia, and residents are asked to watch their website, www.freshnewphila.com, or Facebook page for updates.
