Mary Alice Reporting – Providing eligibility, assistance is available after the Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services received funds through the American Rescue Plan.
The TANF dollars are to assist Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) eligible families who were impacted by the pandemic.
Help can include but is not limited to, emergency housing, short-term homelessness, short-term utility payment, and burial costs.
Applicants must declare their impact on how the pandemic disrupted their financial ability to pay for needs. A part of the qualification, families must have a dependent child and be under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
JFS noted that these funds cannot be used for ongoing needs.
There is a $1,000 limit per eligible family.
