Garry R. Daniels left this world about 60 years too early on 11/11/21 at the young age of 48.

Obituaries always tell you what a person was and who they were in a standard way, but with Garry that is impossible. He worked at Museum Acrylics in New Philadelphia, Ohio for pay, but he really spent the bulk of time doing anything and everything for anyone he could help. Garry wasn’t simply an acrylic fabricator. He was a creative genius with the biggest heart, and there is no way to adequately describe what a wonderful man he was.

Garry was the type of guy who would help a stranger change a tire or drive to a fast-food restaurant and take food back to the homeless person at the exit. He said hello to everyone everywhere, and he pushed every button on the Tickle Me Elmos in the store as he walked by (much to his wife’s embarrassment). If someone needed something fixed, but they weren’t sure how to fix it, they would call Garry. He had the ability to look at things from a different perspective and make them work.

About this point in an obituary, the list of loved ones is often mentioned, but Garry loved everyone which makes that impossible. He was so proud of his four daughters: Breanna, Brooke, Grace, and Alyvia, and being a papa to Max and Lily gave him a joy unlike no other. He supported his wife, Kimberly (not Kim), through all of her crazy ideas and did whatever he could to make them easier. Family was everything to him. Garry and his sisters Dawn (Matt) Frizzell, Ginger (Kelly) Canfield, Shari (Frank) Bugaj, and Robin (Gary) Briggs gave their parents many, many gray hairs.

Speaking of parents, this wonderful man became who he was because of his mom Rosalee Daniels, stepmom Virginia Daniels, and dad Garry L. Daniels. His mom and dad passed before him, but if you see Virginia, give her a big hug and thank her for helping to raise this wonderful man.

And now I must end this, despite having a million more good things to say. If you have a story you want to share, please leave it in the guest book. If you would like to make a donation in his name, please send it to Dover Masonic Lodge at 735 N. Wooster Ave. Dover, Ohio. And if nothing else in this obituary sticks with you, let it be this…. Go, right now, and give your loved ones a hug.
