Mary Alice Reporting – Community Action Network was established over 50 years ago with the continued goal to help American families.

This year, HARCATUS Tri-County Community Action Organization, Inc., a member of the Community Action Network, will also commemorate 57 years of helping families throughout Harrison, Carroll, and Tuscarawas Counties.

Alison Kerns, Executive Director of HARCATUS said that “last year alone, HARCATUS served 9,862 individuals, and over 15 million were served across the country with immediately needed services such as utility assistance and food, and also long-term solutions like education and weatherization.”

The local organization assists low-income households and also provides a head start program, senior nutrition, and home cooling help.

In the HARCATUS Tri-County 2020 annual report, they noted that their HEAP program served over 3,000 families, the summer crisis program served more than 500 families, which impacted over 300 seniors, and the PIPP Plus program saw almost 3,000 families served.
