Nick McWilliams reporting – As a way to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a survivor will share his personal story via Zoom.

As a part of a partnership with the William J. Lowenberg Speakers Bureau from the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Holocaust Center, the Tuscarawas Library will hold the virtual discussion on January 25th at 6:30 p.m.

Leon R was 10-years-old during the invasion on his hometown of Czernowitz, Romania, now considered Ukraine.

He and his family were forced into a ghetto, dealing with starvation, illness, and abuse, before returning home following liberation, and immigrating to the United States in 1951 as refugees.

The Remembrance Day is recognized each year on January 27th.

Registration and information are available at www.tusclibrary.org, or by calling (330) 364-4474.
