Nick McWilliams reporting – A reported 675 Tuscarawas County families will receive help this year through the Share-A-Christmas program.

Over 2,800 adults and children will receive help with food, children, and toys this holiday season.

T4C Director Louise Worsham says that donations will look slightly different this year.

“We must ask that all the toys be new, preferably still wrapped up. We are not able to take bicycles this year, nor are we able to take books. It looks like our largest population of children this year will be our six to nine-year-old boys and girls.”

Residents are asked to wear masks during the donation process.

Donations opportunities for toys are underway at Lahm Motor Company in Sugarcreek, and will last from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Elsewhere, on December 7th, businesses or organizations with large quantities of toys can drop them off at New Towne Mall from 9 a.m. to noon at the former Elder-Beerman site.

A toy drive-thru will be held on December 2nd from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at WJER, co-sponsored by the Indian Valley School District.

Anyone interested in donating money to T4C can do so online at or by sending checks to 1458 Fifth Street NW, New Philadelphia.
