Nick McWilliams reporting – Al Landis was officially brought in on Tuesday to the 135th General Assembly in Ohio.

Landis, who hails from Dover, ran unopposed for the Senate seat in the November election.

Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy of the Ohio Supreme Court conducted the swearing-in ceremonies for Republican elects.

The Senate seat represents Wayne, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas Counties, and part of Guernsey and Stark.

In his previous state government experience, Landis served four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, and recently stepped down from a Tuscarawas County commissioner seat.
