Lillian R. Thompson, age 95, passed away on November 9, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Lillian was born December 13, 1925 in Columbus to the late Herbert McNutt and Helen (Speaker) McNutt Beck. Lillian was married to Richard Bruce Everhart until his death. She then married Ralph E. Thompson, who passed away in 1998.
 

Lillian waitressed for several years at many different places, then worked at Baker’s Grocery store in Newcomerstown until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431 and the Wolf United Methodist Church, both in Newcomerstown. Lillian was a spunky and energetic person. She belonged to a bowling league, enjoyed her fur babies, riding on the back of the motorcycle, making cross country trips with Ralph, and she loved to go fishing.

Lillian is survived by her step-daughter, Rita (Jim) Dougan of New Philadelphia; four step-grandchildren, Mary Ann (Aaron), Melissa (Kenney), Gary, and Tanya; six step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great grandchild;special nephew and niece, Doug Everhart and Barbara Jones; close friends, Trudy and Dave Corbett and Kris Datz. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jay Clark Everhart; step-children, Ralph Gary Thompson, Robert Everhart, Marge Graham and Alice Whitman; brothers, Harold, Ben, and Robert McNutt; sister, Dorothy Hite; special friend and neighbor, Randy Gray.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with Rev. Garry Marlatt officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, two hours prior to the service, from 11 to 1 at the Addy Funeral Home.
